Microblading and microshading are semipermanent techniques for enhancing the appearance of the eyebrows. Pigment is scratched into the skin in fine, short strokes resembling hair, using a hand tool with a blade formed of tiny needles.

The level of pain for this procedure is mild or none at all. A topical anesthetic is applied before the procedure, and only mild irritation or itchiness occurs during the healing process.
Pigments are not implanted into the skin as deep as traditional tattoos, the area will naturally fade overtime. It typically lasts 1-3 years.
Your first microblading session will take 2 – 3 hours. The technician will style and shape your eyebrows in order to understand your unique profile. Once you approve of the design, the procedure can begin!
You should come back 4-6 weeks after your first session for touch-ups. A touch-up session takes 1 – 2 hours.
Your eyebrow area will redden and appear very dark immediately after the procedure. During the healing process, the dark color will fade drastically. It takes 1 – 2 weeks in order for your eyebrows to fully heal. After one month, the color will be fully set in.

- Who have skin disease
- Taking Accutane
With diabetes (requires a physician’s note)
Who have had facial injectables within the past six weeks - Who have had a chemical peel or heavy tanning within the last two weeks
- Allergic to epinephrine, benzocaine, prilocaine, or lidocaine
- Who are pregnant or nursing

Zoe can teach all techniques for Microblading/Microshading in one day. However as with all training it will be up to you to practice until you feel confident to charge clients for this service. Apprenticeship is not included in the Basic Training Class.

Apprenticeship
1 YearIn Tennessee, you must have a tattoo license in order to perform Permanent Cosmetics, including Microblading. The only exception is if you are under the supervision of a State of Tennessee licensed physician. Once you complete the fundamentals, you will be given a monthly customized schedule. You must apply for your Tattoo Apprenticeship Permit at your Public Health Center. Basic Training Class is not included in the Apprenticeship.
