FAQ'S
By carefully isolating each natural lash, one lash extension will be applied on top of one individual natural eyelash, with a special medical-grade adhesive, this is known as our classic set. For hybrid and volume sets, multiple extensions are needed per natural lash. In this case, we will create a lash fan and apply it to one natural lash. A lash fan is several lash extensions joined together at the base. The extension should be about 1mm away from your lash line and should not be touching the skin. This will ensure to keep your natural lash healthy because when your natural lashes shed, the extension can fall with it. This will be a pain-free and very relaxing process. You can easily rest and, when finished wake up amazed by your beauty.
It is recommended to arrive makeup free to the lash studio. Before applying the extensions your eyelashes will need to be thoroughly cleaned of any makeup or oil on them. After cleansing, a cooling eye pad and medical grade tape will be placed under your eye on top of your bottom eyelashes to keep them out of the way during the process. At this point you will be asked to close your eyes. Your eyes should remain closed during the full process and your lash artist will prompt you when it’s time to open. when preparing for your lash appointment, there are easy steps you can take to ensure the best lash experience. You can start by removing any makeup on or around your eyes. This will make it easier for your lash artist because they need a clean base. It is also best to arrive freshly showered, because you won’t be able to wet the lashes for the initial 24 hours after application. After that throw on some comfortable clothing! Get prepared to relax, and don’t forget to skip the caffeine so it is easier to relax. You will be laying on your back for a while so wear a comfortable hairstyle for that, a bun or ponytail straight to the back may not be ideal. Try wearing your hair in a low braid or wear your hair down and pull it to the side.
When applied by a trained lash professional lash extensions last from 2-4 weeks depending on your lash cycle. The average person loses about 20% of their natural lashes every 2 weeks, because of this you will need to come in for lash refills, but there are many factors that go into good retention. Keeping your lashes clean is the best thing you can do. You can do this by using an oil free cleanser and washing them everyday or every other day. Do not pick or pull on your lashes. The oils or dirt from your fingers is not good for the glue. Instead of touching them with your fingers you can brush them daily with a spoolie to keep them looking good and fresh. Remember everyone has different natural lash cycles. Some peoples lashes grow slower so they can go longer in between fills, others grow faster so they may want to get fills sooner.
Lash extensions are 100% safe when applied by a trained stylist. In fact, lash extensions are safer then glue on strip lashes or “falsies”. We will use a medical grade professional adhesive and your natural lashes will remain healthy and continue to grow and shed the same way as if they weren’t even there. If you choose to remove your extensions have them removed by a professional to avoid any damage. Do not pick or pull your extensions out.
Your first lash appointment will be lengthy. It’s a great time to lay back, relax, take a break from your phone, and maybe even have a nap. As you might expect, the application is fairly tedious. A full set of lashes takes 2-3 hours, this is because an average person has 90 to 160 lashes on each eye and every natural lash will be covered with an extension and will be applied carefully and correctly to ensure lash health. Your next appointment for your fill will be a bit shorter. When you get a fill, your lash artist will first remove any outgrown lash extensions and then fill in any that you have lost within the past 2-4 weeks. A fill can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes. This is depending one what type of set you have and how many lashes you have lost. It is important to take good care of your lashes at home and try to come back for a fill with 50% of your lashes.
For the best retention, it is important that you work as a team with your lash artist by doing your part with aftercare. To start, avoid getting water near your eyes for the first 24 hours of getting them done, this can weaken the adhesive and break the bond. After 48 hours you can begin washing your lashes with an oil free lash cleanser. Washing your lashes is important because clean lashes are happy lashes. You will want to keep your lashes clean of makeup, moisturizers, oils, or even dead skin. Even when your lashes appear to be clean it is best to wash them every other day. Be careful with makeup, do not curl or wear mascara on your extensions, eyeshadows and eyeliner will be okay as long as it is washed off at the end of the day. Avoid picking or tugging on your lashes, this will make them shed faster. Every morning you’re going to want to brush your lashes with a spoolie and also brush them throughout the day this will keep them looking nice and fluffy until you are ready for a fill!
TYPES OF LASHES
Classic
Classic eyelash extensions provide a gorgeous means of extending the length and fullness of your existing natural lashes. These extensions are applied in a one-to-one ratio, and each affixed to a single natural lash. This technique produces a subtle, refined enhancement, similar to wearing mascara, but without needing to use it! You can select from various thicknesses and curls for your classic eyelash extensions, and it’s a good idea to consult with your lash artist to determine the perfect look to suit your preferences.
Hybrid
Hybrid lash extensions combine classic and volume lashes in a 70-30 ratio to create a lash line that blends the best of both styles. This technique produces a natural yet dramatic appearance with wispy lashes that enhance the eye’s framing. By strategically placing classic and volume lashes, the desired look is achieved.
Volume
Each client receives a custom-made volume extension. This involves an advanced technique where the artist creates a fan of several ultra-thin lashes by hand and attaches them to your natural lash, resulting in a beautiful, fluttery lash line. The artist can fully customize the volume level, ranging from natural to fluffy to dramatic, making it our most popular choice!
Mega
Our mega-volume extensions are perfect for those seeking a bold and dramatic look. Whether you’re a bride, performer, or just someone who wants a thick and dark lash line, our lightweight lashes will provide you with 5D-10D fans that give your lashes optimal thickness without compromising the health of your natural lashes.
Bottom
Owner’s recommendation! It is exactly what it sounds like- lash extensions that are applied to your lower eyelashes. After years of doing lashes and get lashes done as a customer, I discovered that replace mascara with extension is so beneficial just as top eyelashes. Bottom lashes can give you a more balanced look, make your eyes look bigger, and elongate your face!
